The name Turquoisem comes from the French expression “pierre tourques”, or “Turkish stone. This Gemstone is considered to give the wearer guaranteed health, good fortune, and protection from evil.
This is one of the oldest Gemstones found in Jewellery in Ancient Egyptian Tombs. This Gemstone is more commonly given on the 11th wedding anniversary.
