Aquamarine is the birthstone for March.
Aquamarine’s name comes from the Latin for water and it is said to calm waves and keep sailors safe at sea.
Aquamarine is the green-blue to blue variety of the mineral beryl. Ironically the green version of the same mineral is Emerald.

Throughout the ages it has been claimed that Aquamarine protects the wearer against foes in battle or litigation. It makes the wearer unconquerable, amiable and alledgely speeds the intellect. This beautiful gemstone is now more commonly given on the 19th wedding anniversary
